  17. It was a Friday day when the accident had happened. The summer sun shined on my brown hair as I stepping out of my mother’s car. My older sister, Sandy, rapidly skipped into our new two-story condor while I helped out with the luggage. Our new house wasn’t big but it was the perfect place to live in. It was at least, better than our fathers house, which is a small apartment.
It was just a few years ago, when my mother and father had their divorce and now my mother was moving on with her new family. My mother was now happy with someone else. Someone my sister and I had bitter feelings about. He was in his forties, my sister and I called him Uncle but we knew he was more than an Uncle and that he was my mother’s boyfriend. But, of course, my mother hadn’t cheated on my father. My mom loved Uncle Long after her divorce. Uncle Long worked at the market and was always ranting about his intelligence.
Because of the divorce, my sister had been in a gloomy mood lately and had complaining frequently. Being a four year old child, I knew I had to be mature. My life revolved around school and fights between my parents. Before the divorce, my father came home at a dawn and woke my mother up. He worked at a restaurant by the name of OK café. We all knew that my father worked hard so we loved him very much.
He went to work at 9 a.m. and came home at three in the morning. Therefore, my father, Terry, barely spent time with us. Ever since, my family had came to America many problems were starting to occur. My father was always gloomy and he and my mother always quarreled. One night, my mom was crying and she confessed that she wanted a divorce and me and my sibling nodded our heads. Afterwards, my mother kissed us on the head and left the room. Sandy and I started tearing up and hugged each other. We didn’t want our parents to separate but we had no choice.
And now here was my sister, my once nice and caring sister had transformed into a grumpy and devastated person. I stared at her as she hurry up our new house. A few minutes later, my sister called the biggest bedroom but my mom objected. Since Uncle Long had children of his own too, I had to share the smallest bedroom with my sister. Uncle’s three children, Ronald, the oldest, Kristy, the second oldest, and Jenny, the youngest, took the largest bedroom. My sister and I whined about it for weeks but my mother had just scolded us for being selfish.
Later on the same day, my sister and I were dripped with sweat. To freshen up, my mom told us to take a shower. Since I was still youth my sister had to help me with my bath. She complained and said that I disgusted her. Her words angered me and I slammed the glass bathroom door as I tried to emerge in the tub. My sister was already in the tub so the glass broke because of my strong thrust against the glass door. I watched as the glass flew into my sister’s wrist, arms, and thighs. I screamed and a tiny bit of glass flew into my pinky. My sister told me to call my mother.
I yelled for my mother and she slowly walked up the stairs. “What!” she screamed. And as she walked into the bathroom, her eyes widened and stared at me. Then, my mother called her boyfriend and he ran up. We got covered in towels and me and my sister were crying. I was so afraid of my sister dying. I could see the veins in her hand and the glasses were deep inside her arm. When my mom yanked the glasses out of her arms, the blood was dripping and it was all over the towel. I cringed as I saw the blood and placed a band-aid onto my pinky. A few hours later, Sandy’s blood stopped running and she felt better. I was so relieved that my sister was okay. As a result, I learned to be more mature and to be more responsible about my actions

  22. A wise man once said “Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses.” To most people this means that there are certain times in your life when you need to take a minute to enjoy what life has to offer, unless your a gardener, then (Assuming that there aren’t any roses or they need tending to) it probably means you need to get to work. Which is what I had done every summer since I was fourteen. Although not a gardener my occupation did have some similarities, only my work was done a much larger scale. Where as a gardener used a shovel to gently till the earth, I used a thousand horse power diesel-eating monster to inflect deep lacerations over acres of lifeless land. Instead of the gently touch a gardeners hand placing each individual seed into the soft, dark brown soil. I used a thirty-foot wide planter that injected thousands of seeds into the ground with mechanical precision. Being a farm hand was hard, monotonous work but for a seventeen year old there was no better way to earn plenty of gas money. After work I would go home, jump into the shower, put on my “street close” as my mom would put it, and grab something to eat. About the time I was done my friends would show up, unless they were hungry, (my mom was and is notorious for fixing large meals fit for a king), then they would be waiting on me in the driveway. Once the feasting was over my cohorts and I would go out for a night of mischief and unsupervised fun. This was my daily cycle of events everyday until one night.

On the way home I evaluated everything I had experienced during the week we had spent on the road, all the places I’d seen, all the things we did. I wouldn’t have trade that for anything. To this day I haven’t experience anything that even comes close. So don’t forget to smell the roses.

On the second day of our journey we set out for South Dakota in search of “ The big heads” as Matt and I liked to refer to them, but more commonly know to the masses as Mount Rushmore. After visiting the national monument we headed toward Wyoming to see another national monument,Devils Tower. With it’s louvered sides, this one of a kind land formation resembles a tapering up-side-down cupcake the color of Oklahoma mud. Surrounding the base of the lowly tower are large, smooth stones that seem to get smaller as you get closer to the tower. As soon as we entered the park Matt and I took off toward the natural skyscraper, quickly making our way up its rocky base. We soon found our selves at a point to were we could no longer climb any hirer, we also found a sign that specified if we were to go any higher with out properly registering with the park officials we would be subject to fines as high as fifteen-hundred dollars. So we decided that if we stayed at the same level and moved around to the other side were we couldn’t be seen and therefore wouldn’t be violating any rules. We soon realized that not only had they not placed any signs on the east side of the tower, it was also possible to go even far up the side of this natural wonder. As we once again reached a point to where it was virtually impossible to climb any higher, we set back and marveled at the amazing vantage point we had achieved. The highway we had traveled in on looked like a gray, twisting piece of rope draped across the green canvass of trees and pastures.

  31. Car Accident
"A car is not the only thing that can be recalled by its maker." (Unknown) I used to be the kind of person who thought nothing could ever hurt me, until a normal morning turned into a disaster, which made me realize that life can be taken abruptly. My significant event is my car accident.
After waving goodbye to my parents, I was off to school on a beautiful spring morning. It was a fifteen minute drive on gravel roads to get to my high school. My high school was a brick red building that stood high against the sky, and even though I didn't like going to school, I liked the building itself. I remember listening that day to Alanis Morisette, looking at the birth of wild daisies freshly blossoming on the side of the road. Then, all of a sudden, I heard a loud popping noise, which was the driver's side tire blowing out. That's when everything spun out of control. I remember hearing the Chevy pickup pitting up gravel as it starts to lose control. It headed straight for

  33. School holiday was coming soon. My hobbies are riding bikes during the school holidays.Last week, I went wandering into the forest by bicycle. When I traveled many challenges such as high hills. Although it is difficult but I tried very hard. After half an hour I cycle up the hill, I arrived at the hilltop. On top of the hill, I can see the whole city views and road congestion. When I was fresh air, I suddenly heard a very loud thud. I was looking where it came from the sound. I quickly down the hill to find the source of the sound. Once I arrived at the bottom, I saw many people being overrun of an object. I was surprised. I am also on the scene. There has occurred an accident which was so excruciating.I immediately assist victims and to call an ambulance. After a few minutes later an ambulance came and took the victim to hospital to be treated.
